Hey mate! I’m Elysse, a
20 *21 year old ‘creative type’ from Australia.
I am, first and foremost, a child of God, a Christian if that isn’t specific enough for you, and I try to live my life in a way which reflects the Lord in a positive manner. I am really into music, my top three artists at the moment being Darren Criss, Pentatonix, and Maroon 5. As a talented singer myself I try and maintain a youtube channel (or three) uploading covers and such of songs I’m into. I enjoy internet games, specifically MMOCC types, and through that passion I have found myself working for a great site called Lasuni (Feb 2012-November 2014). I have a passion for coloured hair, I’m currently learning how to speak brazillian portuguese and skateboard (not at the same time), my favourite movie is The Little Mermaid, I use an iMac and I own a Windows Phone.
I really enjoy creating things, and that is why I am pursuing a career in Graphic Design. I’m not quite sure when I came to this realisation (probably somewhere amidst the stress of the HSC and exploring the internet out of procrastination), but I’m so happy that this is the direction I’m heading. Currently, I’m undergoing study at the University of Wollongong, looking at a major in Graphic Design and two minors in Music, *as well as a minor in Digital Media and Communications. Portfolio tba.
I don’t like naming specific people who inspire me, as I feel like we as a whole are inspired by every single conversation, meeting, or circumstance we find ourselves in, no matter how big or small it may seem. That being said, I feel like the people closest to us have the biggest impact on our lives. It’s not the amount of people who know their name, nor the figures on their pay check at the end of the month which do that, but rather the simple act of being human with other humans. Maybe that’s why I love talking to people about what they are into so much, and collaborating using our different backgrounds, talents and experiences to create new, unique ideas and things. *When I re-read that paragraph, I have to say I sound very up myself. Chances are, I just don’t remember the names of the people I cross, and yes, I will probably draw influence from many of the people I meet, but I’m terrible with names. Please don’t hold it against me.
If you like what you have read and want to know more, feel free to hit me up on twitter. I love meeting new people and I promise not to judge. (Unless you send me something with a really really bad font. Then I will probably cry.)
*EDIT: Last updated March 2nd to ensure information is current and fix some punctual errors. Basically, if you are confused, the original post is in the default text colour and my edits are this lovely bright orange.~
